Ministry of External Affairs, India — Strengthening India–ASEAN Relations (2018- 2019)

As a policy analyst, I developed a series of analytical reports examining ASEAN’s future growth opportunities and regional priorities.

The work involved assessing the current state and potential areas of engagement between ASEAN and major global powers in order to identify strategic pathways for India’s deeper collaboration with Southeast Asia.

Future of ASEAN

Over the past five decades, ASEAN has emerged as a dynamic regional bloc, achieving significant economic growth and social development.

This analysis examined the region’s future growth opportunities, assessing supply- and demand-side trends, workforce development, infrastructure gaps, and institutional capacity.

Key challenges include intra-regional trade dependence, uneven development, technological transformation, and geopolitical tensions. The study highlights the need for deeper collaboration among member states, investment in skills and infrastructure, and adoption of innovative policies to sustain growth, competitiveness, and regional stability.
